Introduction and history:

Seyed Javid Aldavood was born in 1963 in Tehran city, Tehran province, Iran.

elementary and high school periods all passed in Tehran (except 4 years that

passed in Iranian schools in Kuwait country).

In 1981 he went to Teaching School (Tarbiate moalem) and start working in

secondary school as a teacher in 1982. He continue study and taked post

diploma in education in 1984.

He also passed general University Exam (Concur) and started his study in

Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at University of Tehran in 1984 and

graduated and has taken DVM (Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine) degree in

1990.

His DVM thesis was about “Epilepsy in dogs” that successfully was defended

on Sep. 29^th. 1990 under supervision of late Professor Dr. Roohol amin.

He continuing teaching in states secondary school during the study.

He passed post graduate exam in Small Animal Internal Medicine branch at

once and accepted with highest mark among all student in all over branches.

He have studied in post graduate course and graduate in 1994 as DVSc in

small animal internal medicine.

Dr. Aldavood joined the staff of Department of Small Animal internal

Medicine in Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at University of Tehran in

March, 1994 as an Associated professor.

After a while he has started teaching and studying by managing and attending proposals, thesis, papers and books in small animal different fields. During these research and teaching program's, he selected as boss of Small Animal Hospital in University of Tehran  in 1996 and continued that to 1999. He bitted off for head department of small animal medicine during 2001-2003 and 2006 to now and selected as head of clinical science department in veterinary faculty since 2003 for 2 years.

He not only work in executive responsible position, but also work as a researcher or head researcher in at least 45 under graduate and post graduate thesis and published 15 scientific papers in national and International journals and presented 25 papers in national and international congress. He also translated and edited 7 professional books in small animal fields.

In spite of his heavy official and scientific duties, he started to make a private scientific and popular journal in veterinary fields since 1997 and a publication institute since 1998. Beside these activities he established the only animal welfare association in Iran (Iran SPCA) and selected as president of that since 1998 and joined to WSPA from 2004 as Iran representative on.

He also created the small animal association and selected as president since 2003 and joined to WSAVA as Iran representative since 2004.

He have suggested to build a group in research center for earthquake prediction to study on animal behavior changes in earthquake and he selected as responsible of that group and managed some project since 2005.

He also is responsible and designer for ethic control in research on laboratory animals and has some papers on.

He managed 2 national congresses in 2003 and 2005 and attends some others as panel or referee member. He also selected as member of veterinary council in Tehran province since 2004 and member of small animal, wild life and publication section in civil veterinary council since 2000.

He promoted as associated professor in Feb. 2007.
